Cruising for a Cause, Pulling for the Win

This run is a deeply personal mission inspired by the memory of my Papa, Terry Kent Crabb. His name—T-Kent-C—is the origin of "Tekensee" and the heart behind this entire event. Papa bravely battled a devastating lung infection known as MAC before recently passing away. To honor his legacy and help others, all proceeds from this event will go directly toward final expenses and funding critical research to fight this disease.

Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) are naturally occurring environmental bacteria that can cause severe, chronic lung disease in vulnerable individuals. Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) is the most common and aggressive form, causing lasting lung damage, extreme fatigue, and severe respiratory decline. It is an incredibly stubborn disease that often goes undiagnosed for too long, ultimately requiring a grueling, year-long treatment regimen with multiple antibiotics just to manage.
