OUR PURPOSE & LEGACY

The Cause Behind Tekensee

Honoring the memory of Terry Kent Crabb by raising awareness and funding for MAC lung disease research.

Inspired by Terry Kent Crabb

The Tekensee Organization is a deeply personal mission inspired by the memory of Terry Kent Crabb. His initials—T-Kent-C—are the origin of "Tekensee" and the heartbeat behind everything we build.

Terry bravely fought a severe, devastating lung infection known as Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) before passing away. In his honor, our organization works tirelessly to support families dealing with this diagnosis and to channel critical resources toward cutting-edge research aimed at discovering better treatments and ultimately a cure.

Understanding MAC & NTM Disease

Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) are naturally occurring environmental bacteria that can cause severe, chronic lung disease in vulnerable individuals. Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) is the most common and aggressive form, causing lasting lung damage, extreme fatigue, and severe respiratory decline. It often goes undiagnosed for too long, requiring grueling multi-antibiotic regimens just to manage.

Supporting NTM Info & Research (NTMir)

We are proud to support NTM Info & Research (NTMir)—the leading non-profit dedicated to accelerating medical research, funding pilot clinical trials, building patient registries, and advocating for patients suffering from MAC and NTM diseases worldwide.
