Official Rulebook
THE TEKENSEE CRABBY DOMINO RUN
Please review the official competition rules before hitting the route.
1. The Core Game
The Route
The run consists of 5 official stops designated on the ride map.
The Draw
At each stop, riders blindly draw 1 domino from an opaque bag containing a standard Double-9 set.
The Score
A volunteer will tally the total number of "pips" (dots) on the drawn domino and write that final number on the rider's official scorecard. The domino is immediately returned to the bag for the next rider.
The Goal
At the final stop, the rider with the highest accumulated pip count across all 5 stops wins the prestigious "King Crab" title. Conversely, the rider with the lowest overall score claims the notorious "Boiled Crab" title.
2. Registration & The Mulligan Advantage
Riders have the option during registration to strategically improve their scores using a redraw advantage system.
The Mulligan Bank
Riders can choose registration packages that grant them 0, 5, or 10 Mulligans to be used throughout the ride.
Timing
Mulligans must be used at the stops during the run. Any unused Mulligans expire the moment a rider brings their card to the final tally table.
3. Using Mulligans on the Route
The Mechanic
If a rider's draw is bad, they may choose to redraw. The volunteer will use a hole punch to clear one of the open Mulligan circles on the scorecard, and the rider draws again.
The Cap
To keep lines moving quickly at all check-ins, there is a strict Maximum 2 Redraws Per Stop rule. A rider can pull a maximum of 3 times at any given stop.
The Final Score
Out on the route, the volunteer only records the final kept score. Once a score is written, it cannot be changed.
4. The Finish Line: Crabby Score Draws & Mini-Wins
When arriving at the final stop, there is one final way to alter a score before the final tally, plus chances to win raffle tickets.
Crabby Score Draws
Independent of the Mulligan bank, a rider can take up to 3 "Crabby Score Draws" at the end of the run to try and replace any of their bad scores. If the new replacements are bad, the rider can choose to keep their original score.
The Muggins Ticket ("Got Points")
If a rider's final, undisputed total score ends in a 0 or a 5, they "Got Points" and instantly win a raffle ticket.
The Mystery Score Ticket ("Lucky Catch")
A random, pre-selected number is kept in a sealed envelope until the end of the run. Anyone whose final score exactly matches the mystery number wins raffle tickets.
5. Tie-Breakers & Sudden Death
In the event that two or more riders tie for either the King Crab or the Boiled Crab title, the winner will be decided in a high-stakes finale at the final stop. Leftover Mulligans are void and cannot be used during tie-breakers.
The Separate Bags
Each tied rider will be provided their own dedicated bag containing a fresh Double-9 set to ensure pure statistical fairness.
The Blind Draw
Each rider will blindly draw 5 tiles from their bag and place them face down on the table.
The Reveal
Riders will take turns flipping over one tile at a time. The crowd will track the total pips as they are revealed.
The Winner
After all 5 tiles are flipped, the rider with the highest combined total wins the King Crab tie, while the rider with the lowest combined total wins the Boiled Crab tie.
Double Tie
If a secondary tie occurs after the 5-tile reveal, the remaining tied riders will clear their tiles and perform a single, 1-tile sudden-death blind pull to crown the ultimate winner.
